Covenant Presbyterian Church is currently shut down due to Covid-19 Napa County Stay at Home order. We expect to remain shut down at least through the end of April, and probably through May. Our pastor, Rev. Linda S. Powers is conducting worship via Zoom. For more information on worship, call the office at (707) 255-9426. We invite you to join us in worship and celebration on Sundays at 10:30 am in the sanctuary as soon as the order is lifted. Visit the CPC News and Updates page on this site for current information and call the office if you’d like to sign up for our email newsletter.
At Covenant, we believe that worship is one of the main ways that God forms and shapes us as a community. We hope that you will find worship at Covenant lively, engaging, and personal. Many members of our community actively participate in worship leadership.
In worship, we acknowledge God present in the world and in our lives. As we begin worship, we gather together in joy and praise, with a Call to Worship and with singing. Then, together, we confess our brokenness, and lean into the Good News of God’s forgiveness in Jesus Christ. At the heart of our worship we listen for what God is saying in God’s church. We listen for God’s word, not only in scripture reading and preaching, but also in a time for young worshipers and in choral anthems. Re-energized and equipped by God’s Spirit, we then move out of worship into service in and for the world.
Special Morning Quiet: Need to center yourself before heading into your busy day? Start in the sanctuary anytime between 8:30am-9:00am for some quiet reflection. Take time to set aside your modern day concerns and listen for god’s word to you.
Sunday Morning Listening Opportunities include hearing God’s spirit speak through hymns, prayers, sermon and your own quiet expressions through art and poetry. Come and move, as you are led, from your pew to the Quiet Space set up for you in the sanctuary wing.
