Gathering for fellowship is always a highlight at Covenant. Beyond Sunday fellowship and conversation here are some of the ways we gather as a church family, inviting friends and neighbors to join us.
Summer Fun: Join us for our SUMMER ZEPHYR TREK, July 17-20, 2020. We will head up to the beauty of Lake Tahoe and stay at Zephyr Point Presbyterian Conference Center in South Lake Tahoe for a weekend of play and fun! Sign ups will begin in late spring, but be sure and add this to your calendar now!
CPC Book Group - a monthly gathering of folks who love to read. Lively discussions take place on the fourth Monday of each month - check the CPC Book Group tab under “Lifelong Learning”
Golf & Picnic/Barbecue: An afternoon on the golf course followed with a picnic and barbecue for golfers and non-golfers alike!
Ride to Defeat ALS - A fundraising bicycle ride/walk supporting ALS research that we participate in each year- a worthy cause and one in need of funding…
Presbyfest! - Our annual fundraising event is a silent auction and a play at Lucky Penny Theater, a private show that has become a very special evening for our congregation. This year we’ll see “White Christmas” on December 4, 2019 at 6:30 p.m.
Thanksgiving Dinner: The Sunday before Thanksgiving we always gather with friends and family in the hall for a huge Thanksgiving Dinner - always a highlight at the beginning of the holiday season.
Christmas Ornament Exchange: An evening of sharing wine and chocolates and exchanging silly and beautiful ornaments along with waiting to see who gets the “Christmas Ugly”. A fun and lively evening each and every year!
Christmas Caroling - an intergenerational highlight as we visit homebound and nursing care members and friends, bringing them some cheer as we sing favorites from the season!
Palm Sunday of each year we gather with our pets for our Annual Blessing of the Animals! This is a great opportunity to be reminded of the importance of our pets, which are really extensions of our family units!
There are many. many additional gatherings throughout the year at CPC including Movie Night, potluck dinners, the annual Alternative Market (a fair trade Christmas fair in the hall), Goal Poster Night, and lots of opportunities for learning, fellowship, and growing your faith.
