Sue Harrison - Church Administrator

Joined Covenant Presbyterian Church with 19 years of experience as a church office administrator with another Presbyterian church.

A graduate of Sonoma State University with a Liberal Arts degree, Sue has completed training as a Spiritual Director, as well as other “helping” fields (lay counseling, lay pastor).  She has served twice as Moderator of the Presbytery of the Redwoods and atively served on a variety of Presbytery committees.

Mother of three grown daughers and grandmother to eight beautiful granddaughters, Sue’s hobbies include writing, knitting and sewing, and playing with her canine companion, Quincy.

 
 

Mark Teeters-Covenant Chancel Choir Director

Mark has served as the Director of Choral Music at Vintage High School in Napa since 2000, where he is chair of the Virusal and Performing Arts Department.

In 2009, he was named a California Teacher of the Year ad additionally, was the 2009 Napa County Teacher of the Year and Rotary Teacher of the Year in 2005.  He previously taught choir at Potrero Hill Middle School of the Arts and Herbert Hoover Middle School both in San Francisco.  He holds a Master of Music degree in Choral Conducting from the University of Oklahoma, where he studied under Dr Dennis Schrock, and a B.A. in Music Education from Northern Arizona University, where he studied with Dr. Jo-Michael Scheibe and Dr. Edith Copley.

Mark is the proud papa of twins, Audrey and Aaron.

 

Ted Lassagne - Church Organist

Ted has been involved in church music since he was a teenager.  He has a B.A. in Music from San Francisco State College and plays organ and piano.  He is retired from th United States Air Force and worked for 18 years in the Silicon Valley doing computer software and hardware design.

He and his wife, Jan, are members of Covenant Presbyterian Church.

 

 

 

Liz Amendola - Choir Accompanist

Liz has been an accompanist for Mark Teeters since her oldest son joined the Chamber Singers at Vintage High School in 2000.  Liz works full time at Vintage High as the accompanist for their 5 choirs.  In 2003, Mark asked for her help at a couple of Wednesday night rehearsals for the Covenant choir and has never left!

Although Liz studied music at UC Berkeley and has enjoyed playing the piano as an avocation since the age of 3, her professional background for 20 years was in public relations and copywriting.  In addition to accompanying the choir programs throughout the year, Liz also serves as the rehearsal and pit pianist for each of Vintage’s biannual musicals, and has been the pianist for hundreds of students performing solo pieces.  

She holds a B.S. in Psychology at UC Berkeley, a M.S. in Mass Communications from San Jose State, a teaching credential in Music and a M.A. in Teaching from the University of San Francisco.  

Liz lives in Yountville with her husband of 30 years, Steve.  She has two adult sons who both love to sing!

 

Mark Osten - Church Pianist

Mark Osten, pianist, conductor and music instructor, attended San Francisco State University where he received his Bachelor of Music and Master of Arts degrees with emphasis in piano performance.  He taught at Santa Rosa Junior College, and served as music director for churches in Santa Rosa and Napa. He was principal percussionist with the Santa Rosa Symphony for ten years, and for many years gave the pre-concert talks before the orchestra’s performances and wrote the program notes.  

As a solo pianist, he has performed many concerts in the Bay Area.  As an accompanist he worked with the Santa Rosa Chidlren’s Chorus for many years, and numerous other organizations.  Mark now works at Napa Valley College where he serves as staff accompanist and teaches fundamentals of music and music theory.
