![]() ADULT
There are many ministries catering to the adult population here at Covenant ranging from weekly Bible studies, monthly luncheons, and older and younger adult groups.
The young adults group at Covenant is known as the YOGI's, which is short for Young Outgoing Group of Individuals. The YOGI's was formed to provide spiritual bonding and fellowship for all adults over 18 of child rearing years, married or single, with or without children. The children of the YOGI's are known as the Boo-Boo's, named after Yogi Bears little buddy. Fun, monthly events, with and without the children, are planned 3-6 months in advance. Event planning focuses on three areas of concern: spiritual development, service, and fellowship. Typical outings include Bible studies, movie and dinner nights, swim and BBQ parties, camping and snow trips, dessert and discussion, and wine and chocolate parties. All are welcomed to share their faith and forge new friendships.
The younger crowd aren't the only ones having fun at Covenant. After the YOGI's was formed, the "mature" crowd wanted to show the young 'uns how to really have fun and fellowship. The result was the FOGI's, or Folks Older than God Is. This group is for the older people in the church who are now enjoying a "quiet" child-free house (except when the grand kids come over), getting close to, or are retired, and are now gearing up to get the most out of life with all their "free" time. Many of the events are the same as the YOGI's: Bible studies, movie and dinner nights, swim and BBQ parties, dessert and discussion, and trips to interesting places.
