Adult Learning

Tuesday Morning Bible Study

Tuesday morning from 10-11:30 a diverse group of 15-20 adults gather for weekly study and prayer.  Presently we are focused on Lectionary studies for the upcoming Sunday worship.  The curriculum we are using is “Feasting on the Word” from Westminster John Knox Press.

Monthly Book Group

Our monthly book group, “Quest for Knowledge” began in 2002 and always has a broad reading list.  Early in 2013 we read “Mighty be Their Powers” by Leymah Gbowee, “Help Thanks Wow” by Anne Lamont, and “If You Lived Here, I’d Know Your Name” by Heather Lende.  We meet the last Monday of the month at 7pm in the parlor. Completion of reading the book is not needed - join us for the conversation and fellowship!Additional Educational Opportunities

During the summer the popular summertime adult education offering, “Wine and Theology” begins and meets each Tuesday evening throughout the month.  Beginning in January 2016 we will be reading Covenant friend, Anna Hess’s book, “Life in Internment”.  We will follow our previous format, gathering at 7:00pm to enjoy desserts and drinks as we talk about our varied discoveries from the book we are reading.  Want to know more?  Be in touch with Deana.

Another recent hit was our “Scrapbooking Your Faith” event.  What began as a Confirmation Class experience grew into an Intergenerational event for us all.
